The creators on this list entertain, reflect what we know and have yet to learn. Today, we acknowledge the investment and impact these creators bring to the screen. They’ve caught my eye and kept it — here’s who & why.
  1. Funky Dineva | ATL
    • From Miami, full-time content creator Quentin “Q” for 10+ years has self-produced his YouTube series, centered around his unfiltered commentary on culture and relationships.
    • A one-man show with segments addressing select topics related to politics political corner, entertainment, local and global communities/businesses — while flawlessly referencing his personal story.
  2. Ru Paul’s Drag Race | LA
    • “Hello. Award-winning stupid” — Trinity the Tuck (All Stars Season 7 E8) For 18 seasons, RU (a triple threat) has recruited savvy personalities to compete in Drag, branching to All Stars, Global, Holiday, Untucked, Pit Stop etc.
    • Since ‘09, contestants/winners rise to challenges, leave it on the runway (some of the best fashion design) and after releasing their vulnerabilities, some go on tour, record albums (most), publish books & work w/brands like Vogue.
  3. Gorgeous Doll | MIA
    • It’s story time 🗞 from Atlanta to Miami, former bartender/dancer paints stories of resilience, friendship, travel and happenings from her POV on YouTube & TikTok.
  4. Armon Wiggins | LA
    • Cali host, music artist and one-man show dives into the lives of artists, musicians and their projects — his niche coverage (Diddy trial) and consistency on YouTube is undeniable.
  5. BBC | UK
    • A global view.
  6. Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) | ATL
    • This record-breaking, allegedly unscripted reality (not unique to RHOA) documents the lives, triumphs, challenges, of single/married, appearing as well-to-do (not unique to RHOA) black women.
    • Also, two years shy from being on the air for 10 years — introducing iconic characters, quotables, sub-cultures and memes.
  7. Bluecentric | LA
    • Writer, producer, emotional intelligence coach and pop culture critic not too long ago started her YouTube series — blending trending topics and tarot readings reminiscent of daily horoscopes.
  8. Andrew Gabor | TX
    • An avatar on YouTube is enough because his commentary, screen grabs and chat/caller engagement has me locked in from beginning to end.
  9. Jessie Woo | ATL
    • Mamas can sang and she’s not wrong — she’s early.
  10. King of Reads | ATL
    • Fiercely uplifting and challenging the culture and it’s standards.

  1. Ohhh Ladies First | ATL/NO/TX
    • Jamie, Blondy Blue and Necey are a panel of young black women sharing their thoughts on curated topics.
  2. Kempire | NY
    • I’m just here to bring you the news” — Kempire. I love when he invites callers on.
  3. Carlos King | Varies
    • Via multiple YouTube shows, former RHOA producer Carlos King interviews talent on reality TV and collaborates with talent in the industry to breakdown breaking moments in culture with the help of co-hosts like Lisa Raye, Claudia Jordan, Friends Zone host and Comedian Dustin Ross and Bluecentric — the group chat I didn’t know I needed.
  4. Phag Talk | ATL
    • TS Madison and Craig the Writer host a show reminiscent of  two friends KiKi'n and getting serious when needed.
  5. Scotty by Nature | ATL
    • Scotty gang here and I tune-in for an authentic recap of TV and music.
  6. Bravo’s Summer House Martha’s Vineyard
    • On the list w/Love Craft Country (HBO) of shows I hate to see go.
  7. NBCUniversal's Love Island | Fiji
    • I’ve got a text phenom fulfills escapism with competition and romance.
  8. HBO’s Industry | London
    • Four seasons in, this scripted series films (in Wales, 4 hours west of London) co-workers, their relationships and careers in trading/finance.
  9. Emily D. Baker | TN
    • I pop in and out of the Law Nerd community she’s created — watching trials live while she explains court details I found her during Depp vs. Heard  
  10. The Whoopie Goldberg show aka ABC’s The View & Fox’s The Five | NY
    • Driving by politics through these panel conversations (seemingly among bi-partisan friends) are prompted by host and hot topics.
